OCR Chicks – February

Another month, another celebration and ode to the baddest and most beautiful female athletes on the face of the planet – OCR chicks. Many guys are out there right now training hard by themselves thinking I wish I had a girlfriend I could do this with. So WHAT is it exactly an OCR chick is looking for in a man? Your typical approach is NOT going to work with these women. Well, men, you are welcome. Here are some tips and views into what one of these fine species of athletes are looking for in a companion.

Amy Pajcic

Q. What’s the #1 thing an OCR chick wants after a race from her guy?
A. My clothes, my water, my finisher shirt, unless it was an astounding race, give me a few and don’t tell me good job if it wasn’t

Q. Does a guy try to talk to the OCR chick before or after the workout?
A. After. Don’t talk to me before; you’re just holding me up and likely to irritate me

Q. Shirt or no shirt for men at races? (This is a stupid question isn’t it ha-ha?)
A. Dress for the weather, if it’s warm enough, take it off haha

Q. Where is the perfect place and food to take the OCR chick after a workout or race?
A. OCR chicks are not your typical girls, your typical dinner & a movie isn’t what I’m looking for. Hike and picnic, climbing & crag snacks, or something unique that’s fun to try, I’m adventurous

Q. What’s the #1 thing a guy can do to impress the OCR chick?
A. kill Obstacles, and be humble about it, be helpful. Don’t be a douche. If you’re looking to compliment an OCR girl, comment on a great race or great Obstacle completion, or on her guns, or such, we are strong, we aren’t doing this to look pretty

Q. What’s most important to the beautiful and extraordinary OCR chick?
A. As far as trying to snag a date? Be real, be honest, be you. Everyone we hang out with does OCR or similar and is in shape, etc., it’s who you are that will stand out

Q. The number 1 thing that is most attractive in a male OCR athlete?
A. Aside from looks and skills, a sense of adventure.

Alexandra Walker

Q. What’s the #1 thing an OCR chick wants after a race from her guy?
A. A muddy kiss duh and a massage because those muscles have been working hard.

Q. Does a guy try to talk to the OCR chick before or after the workout?
A. I would say after. We need a clear mind going into to our awesome workout. Plus give them something to ask about.

Q. Shirt or no shirt for men at races? (This is a stupid question isn’t it ha-ha?)
A. No shirt of course! Show off that hard work.

Q. Where is the perfect place and food to take the OCR chick after a workout or race?
A. Mexican because nachos are amazing (who doesn’t love nachos) or some really good fresh sushi.

Q. What’s the #1 thing a guy can do to impress the OCR chick?
A. Mmmmm… I would say workout with her and support her progress. Nothing better than smiling and being all sweaty together.

Q. What’s most important to the beautiful and extraordinary OCR chick?
A. To laugh, get muddy and have fun. Find adventure every weekend is pretty great also.

Q. The number 1 thing that is most attractive in a male OCR athlete?
A. Their amazing back muscles …kidding I would say that they make great running buddies. We all need that someone to push us.

Faye Stenning

Q. What’s the #1 thing an OCR chick wants after a race from her guy?
A. warm clothes and a heated car nearby.

Q. Does a guy try to talk to the OCR chick before or after the workout?
A. After- before I’m preparing and won’t be overly friendly

Q. Shirt or no shirt for men at races? (This is a stupid question isn’t it ha-ha?)
A. doesn’t matter. Those compression shirts don’t leave much to the imagination anyways

Q. Where is the perfect place and food to take the OCR chick after a workout or race?
A. froyo!

Q. What’s the #1 thing a guy can do to impress the OCR chick?
A. don’t be embarrassed when we kick their butt in a race or workout. Take it like a real man

Q. What’s most important to the beautiful and extraordinary OCR chick?
A. her friends and family

Q. The number 1 thing that is most attractive in a male OCR athlete?
A. Their physiques duh!!! Just kidding, a fun and laid-back guy who doesn’t take himself too serious (but takes his training serious) are super attractive!

So there it is men, don’t be butt hurt when you look like you’re standing still during the workout because she’s busting out reps like it is the last workout ever (especially with Faye Stenning). Be region specific when it comes to food, i.e. if you are in Texas, think Mexican food; or if you are in Canada think froyo (ha-ha). And the #1 thing every woman has agreed on so far is your SMILE. This isn’t a rap video, don’t try to look all hard.
