While there has been much buzz around the new Spartan DELTA, many seem to be confused about what it actually takes to complete the mysterious device. We all know it looks cool, we all know that we want one, but not many of us know exactly what is involved. Well, there are Three Paths to a Spartan DELTA.
In a recent blog article, the folks over at Spartan made an attempt to clear things up a bit. Essentially, there are a number of options for those of us looking forward to garnishing our desk with the DELTA:
First, the DELTA is constructed in the shape of a pyramid. For those of you that don’t understand the significance behind this, I will do my best to clear this up. First, the triangle… the triangle is the strongest shape. Force is evenly spread through all three sides. A pyramid is made of triangles, 4 sides, which come together at a fixed point with a square base. The DELTA itself is constructed of three magnetized stainless-steel plates called Circuits. Each Circuit holds one TRIFECTA, and each features a unique Spartan domain for Body, Mind, and Spirit.
The DELTA will also feature nine spots for DELTA icons. Every venue will off the opportunity for a unique etched steel Spartan DELTA icon. The three corners of each Circuit will have an inlaid space to hold the icon.
In the 2016 Season, Spartan Race is introducing TRIFECTAS for Endurance and Training TRIFECTA. The Endurance TRIFECTA is made up of a Hurricane Heat, a Hurricane Heat 12-Hour and an Ultra Beast. The Training TRIFECTA is completed by sharpening your mind and completing an SGX class, Spartan X Completion, and an Agoge.
