Killington Vermont is one of those places that you have to visit if you are an OCR enthusiast. Vermont is the birthplace of the Spartan Race and many consider it a pilgrimage. Last year's Vermont course may have been a let down for some, but this course, this year, would end up being one of the most memorable races to date.

For those of you that are running at Killington this year, an official email has been dispatched with some information about race day. Additionally, below is the official Ultra Beast and Beast Athlete Guide as well as some very important race day information.

A few weeks ago, a bunch of us decided to run one of the hardest races that many of us have ever attempted, The Tri-State New Jersey Ultra Beast. That race truly did a number on some of us, especially me, my knees, and my feet. I decided to take the week after light and signed up for the Ohio Beast and Sprint races. I had done the Beast in 2014 (my third Spartan Race ever) and remember the course being... well... flat. I figured this would be a nice break from the grueling course we faced in NJ and would serve as a nice recovery run.

Spartan has been holding their races in the Tri-State area since I first learned of their series. Through these years, the Super had been the primary focus with a Beast thrown in the mix later. This year, things would be different. This year, New Jersey would host its first Ultra …

Over the last few months, I have had a number of people ask me about my workout routine. There isn't anything I do that is "new" or revolutionary, but what I do on a regular basis just works for me. With that in mind, I decided to share some of the things I do to keep myself in the best shape possible.

If many of you were excited to read that the NJ Tri-State Beast was going to be upgraded to include an Ultra Beast, then you will love this.  They have decided to add a Sunday Race to the mix.

There is nothing like getting all beast mode on an obstacle course. And of course, what could be better than getting beast mode on a Spartan Beast. Spartan Races have become the most popular and widely recognized OCR. With that, the Spartan teams have to do more and more each year to improve the events, the turnout, and keep the OCR faithful coming. South Carolina is the state, Carolina Adventure World is the venue, and a Spartan Beast is the challenge. The final Beasts of the year. Challenge Accepted.
